Mike Cron is one of the most formidable coaches in World Rugby today. The performances of the teams he has coached backs this up.

Mike has a massive amount of expertise not only in his main focus “ The art of the scrum” but all parts of the forward game. He has been involved in International Rugby for the last 19 years and has been appointed to various World Rugby committees. He is highly regarded throughout the World of Rugby.

 

Mike's success has come from his great knowledge and his ability to pass that knowledge on in a clear but simple format that everyone can understand. He uses all types of teaching techniques including video, questions and training aids.

He has always been a coach who has looked outside the realms of rugby to gain knowledge and better understanding of the “How and Why” which he can then implement into his coaching. His visits and conversations to the world of Sumo wrestling and ballet are two great examples; however, there are many more.

I have been lucky enough to know and work with Mike over my entire coaching career and he has been an incredible influence.
